Retail Sales Manager – Ultimate Golf, Walsall

Location: Walsall, West Midlands
Job Type: Full-Time

About Us:

Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Retail Sales Manager to lead our store team. You’ll be responsible for driving sales, delivering outstanding customer experiences, and overseeing day-to-day operations. A background in retail management is essential—golf knowledge is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate a small team to meet sales targets and customer service standards

  • Oversee store operations including stock control, merchandising, and scheduling

  • Deliver expert product advice and support customer fittings and purchases

  • Organise in-store promotions, demo days, and brand events

  • Monitor KPIs and report performance to senior management

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming store environment

Requirements:

  • Proven retail management or supervisory experience

  • Strong leadership and customer service skills

  • Interest or background in golf (preferred but not essential)

  • Confident with point-of-sale systems and basic reporting

  • Ability to work weekends and peak retail periods

Golf Retail Sales Assistant – Ultimate Golf, Walsall

Location: Walsall, West Midlands
Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time
Salary: £12.21 per hour + staff benefits

Ultimate Golf is a specialist golf retail store based in Walsall, offering a wide range of premium golf equipment, clothing, and accessories. We're passionate about the game and pride ourselves on expert advice and outstanding customer service.

Role Overview:
We're looking for a friendly and knowledgeable Retail Sales Assistant to join our team. Whether you're a keen golfer or simply enjoy working in retail, this role involves helping customers find the right products, maintaining store presentation, and supporting the day-to-day running of the shop. We are looking for staff to cover evenings and weekend shifts. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and product advice

  • Assist with sales of golf clubs, apparel, footwear, and accessories

  • Handle transactions and operate the till accurately

  • Keep the shop floor tidy, well-stocked, and visually appealing

  • Support with deliveries, stock replenishment, and merchandising

  • Stay up to date with the latest golf products and trends

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous retail or customer service experience (preferred)

  • Enthusiastic, approachable, and reliable

  • Interest in golf is a bonus, but not essential

  • Experience of custom fitting golf clubs is desirable.

  • Comfortable working weekends and busy trading periods
